Question Auto-lock when walking away

Hi, asking for my wife, I know I do not have that option on my CLK but she is telling me she had it on her 2011 E350 (?). With this new 2023 CLA250 she would like the car to auto lock when she walks away and has the key in hear bag. I can't find it in the manual and I think its not available.

Any thoughts?

This place is a joke.
Never heard of such a thing. However, if you unlock the car and don't open a door within a couple minutes the car will automatically re-lock itself.

Not an option on current models. With Mercedes me connect if you park the car and forget to lock it, then you get an alert on your phone within a couple of minutes and you can lock it from the phone, but it doesn't lock automatically. Other brands do have an auto-lock option such as BMW for example.

Cool Any one know if the the walk away lock feature is available on the s 560?

My daughter's Honda Clarity has this feature. You walk about 10 feet away with the FOB and it just locks by it self. Why would you want this? So you don't have to fumble in your purse or pocket to lock the car. You don't have to get the FOB out to unlock or start the car. There should be a feature to lock it a well. If anyone finds a way to do this let me know. Maybe dealer activated option??
Have a great day.

No, as said, not available. But you don't have to fumble with the key fob, assuming you have keyless go. You just touch the outside of the door handle in one of the two sensor areas to lock the car. I usually touch the handle with the back of my hand before I walk away. If I have to take something out of the trunk first, then there's a button on the trunk to close the trunk and lock the car at the same time and with the HANDSFREE option you can close the trunk with a kick of your foot under the bumper, same to open it. Point being I never have to take my key fob out of my pocket ever.
