my A-class has semi-auto climate controller,
so i wanna upgrade full auto climate controller.
i bought it and try to switch them.
almost functions do well,
but if i want cool, its not operate A/C actuator...
i found a reason.
my original controller have two connectors at back side.
A new one have three connectors ....
You can't just change the climate controller, because the original climate system in your car (code 580) is missing a lots of sensors, including sun-sensor/incar-temperature sensor/air-quality sensor...etc.
That's way the dual area climate controller has 3 connectors (for code 581)
If you want to retrofit the dual area climate system, you have to add above sensors and change the harness to code 581 and that is a huge process...
