I thought I read somewhere that MBUX enables this function. Is that correct? I'm tired of using the wire.

Agree - hate the need for the wire connection, but I suspect that the whole idea is to pop the phone away into your console to have the "phone function" in your dash instead in order to reduce distracted driving.

I found there is an adaptor that can turn wired carplay system into a wireless version without need to change your current system. Wireless CarPlay adaptor

Careful for that link. It might be shady. I clicked on where to buy and none of the regions link you out to a website to purchase. I didn't bother doing dev tools to see why but I will keep investigating.
