Tire pressure

The low tire pressure warning has started to appear (I assume mostly because the weather is getting cold here.) Most of the tires are fluctuating between 33-34 psi. One, however, has shown between 31-34.

Question. Since it seems to start warning at 34... and I see a tire moving between 31-34 just because of outside temperature... how much air should I put in it? For example, if I only increase it to 35-36, then I wonder if it'll still drop to 34 on a cold morning. But, if I add set it to 38... that seems high. What's the proper way to do this?

Interesting. My tires were inflated to 50 psi by the dealership, noticed it after driving about 1,000 miles and dropped it to 40-42 (my standard tires are rated 44 psi). In colder weather they drop to 35 so far, hasn't been below 40 yet.

Check your tire rating, I think 38 is fine. At 35-36 psi warm you could see a drop to 30-32 in colder weather. My old car used to drop up to 6 psi when the temperature went from 90 degrees to 15.
