Question about a sensor

Hello,

I have a question about one sensor I somehow lost today. I do not know how this could possibly happen. Either it was not assembled properly, or something like a small rock hit it while I was driving. I see only a small plastic stick in the place where the round sensor plate should be.

The sensor is normally installed in a bumper, only on a driver's side of a car. Here, I attach a figure to show you the sensor I am talking about - it is inside the red circle (please note I took it from Mercedes' configurator, I just added a circle).

I think it may be an active lane assist sensor. I am sure this is not a parking sensor. Am I right? Please correct me if I am wrong.

Does anyone have any details, like part number, price, info about the way how it is assembled, etc? I am going to call my dealer and order a visit there, but I would like to know what I should ask about. I hope, they will not have to disassemble the entire front of my car to fix it...

Thank you in advance!

I am afraid the website is down. I tried yesterday and today and I get this error every time:
uncomment: mysqli_conn line 86
Any ideas about the sensor?

That would be your ambient (outside) air temp sensor. It is pointed on the end. Your good as long as your outside temp is reading correct on the dash. If it is not visible outside, it may have popped inside and is resting inside the inner fender liner.
