Hard start W168 A190 - fuel pressure issue
Been reading this forum since I get my W168 3 years ago to find information helping me solving random problems.
I have now a new problem I'm having hard time to solve related to starting after sitting for a while.
Fuel filter, thus pressure regulator is new.
When I turn the ignition on to prime the fuel, pressure raise to 1.0 b, then I turn off and on the ignition again and pressure raises to 2.2 b.
If I try to prime the fuel again, the pressure stays to 2.2 b.
I then crank the engine and the pressure drop to 2.0 b and once started (after 10s cranking) the pressure raises slowly to 2.8 b and the engine runs fine.
Below is a link to video that might be more explicit:
Any idea on the origin of the issue?
I'm tempted to change the fuel pump but it seems to be a PITA... and not sure why the pressure raise to normal once running.
Thanks!
