2020 A220 with Burmester sound

First post.

I bought this car certified pre-owned with 8k miles at the end of February, and so far I couldn't really be much happier. My only complaint, if you could even call it that, is that I would have expected a little more out of the Burmester sound system. The bottom end is really just so-so, but my bigger issue is that the whole thing just seems to have this weird hump somewhere in the mids that no matter how I tweak the settings, I just can't seem to dial it all the way out. Am I crazy? Has anybody else noticed this?

I think I'm going to throw a small powered sub in the trunk (one with just a little more "oomph" than the stock sub and amp), but that's not going to fix the weird mid-range peak. Has anybody else noticed this? Did you do anything about it? I'm considering replacing the woofers in the door, but it's hard to say for sure that that's where the problem is. Just thought I'd ask around. Thanks!

Since your car is still in warranty, you might want to take it back to your local MB dealer to have them check it out and see if there might be a problem with the Burmester itself or maybe a faulty speaker.

Truthfully, I really don't think there's any kind of problem with the sound system. I think it just doesn't sound as good as it could to me, subjectively. I'm sure there are plenty of other people who would love it. Thanks, though.

I took delivery of a new 2021 A220 two weeks ago and I find myself sitting in the car every night for 30 minutes trying to find settings that work for me. I'm not looking for that glass shattering heavy bass that'll wake your neighbors up when you drive past but I don't seem to get much bass at all using Bass +10 Midrange -5 Treble +2, either through FM radio, Bluetooth or USB media. It sometimes sounds "okay" when I'm stationary, though I have to raise the volume pretty high, and only one certain songs. But if the vehicle is in motion, it sounds like there are only tweeters and nothing more. I do realize is not the same high end Burmester system like the higher end vehicles have, but for an $850 option on the A-class, its pretty poor in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, I have been loving every other moment in this car so far, but I'm sorry to say, the factory sound system in my old Ford Focus sounded way better.
