Help with EGT sensor location
Hi.
My 2014 2.1 Diesal A class has thrown up an engine light when code read i get a P242B-2A which i understand is an Exhaust gas temperature sensor fault. Bank 1 Cylinder 3 to be precise
i’ve gone into live data and one sensor is stuck at 650 celcius.
there are 2 EGT sensors (or what appear to be egts) near/in the DPF one just before the DPF and one in the DPF
Unplugging each one doesnt affect the live data so i’m unsure which sensor to replace. And being £120 non returnable once opened i dont want to make an expensive mistake.
my question is does anyone know what sensor is bank one cylinder 3?
