P1D0313 Circuit Open
Hi guys! I am having some issues with a W176 with the crankcase ventilation valve. The problem started with fault code P052E71 - The crankcase ventilation valve is faulty. The actuator is blocked. Thought, hm simple enough. Rang up my mb dealer in my area and ordered a new one. After some hours the valve was in and all was set, the car was finally finished and ready to go... not. Like always I end my jobs with a quick scan and clear code command. Surprisingly though the code didn't go away. Even worse I received another code instead. P1D0313 - An electrical fault exists in the crankcase vent valve. An open circuit exists. So I thought I must've damaged a wire or something but I checked all the wires and tested them for continuity and they were all fine. Also when I go to test the old valve and still have this open circuit fault code. To put the cherry on top after driving the car I get another fault code: Knock sensor 1 (cylinder bank 1) has a short circuit to ground. A signal is below the permissible limit value.
So now I am completely lost and have no idea what to check. I swapped the ecu and cloned the old one just in case if that was the problem, it was not. If anyone has any useful help I'd be really grateful.
