A class 2008 make
hedge pulls off wing mirror ,housing and all!
Well, It was not fully the hedge's fault . I was reversing and the driver side wing mirror got pushed forward by the hedge. The whole unit came off and is dangling by the wires. I tried to push/clip it back into place in vain.
Any pointers on how to sort this out, preferably by myself, will be gratefully recieved.
The car is a 2008 make A class.

I took a leisurely look and discovered that the mirror housing is on a hinge, like a door that opens to the front of the car. Once I got the loose housing on to the hinge, it was a case of closing a door shut.
Good engineering, although not very easy to figure it out.
