New A-Class Gets Siri Integration

Siri Will be in the new A-Class

Mercedes' A-class will be the first of their line-up to support complete Siri integration. Making calls and appointments while driving will be a snap. You can also text people by voice. That's a pretty standard feature for a phone, but extremely useful in a car. What do you think?

Siri is the most accurate consumer market voice recognition at this time...unless English is your second language.

izzy, you're so right! although she nearly never understands me. I'm pretty curious, how that'll work in a car....

I wonder if this will be made available by updating something on the vehicle if you already have a vehicle that didn't originally come with it. For example, I have a C250 2013 model and I hope that Siri will be supported when it becomes available. I have the "Voice" button on my steering wheel but it doesn't work with anything yet.

I also heard that with this integration, you'll be able to use apps from the phone right onto the display screen. If that is the case, I hope I can use Maps or TomTom app right from the phone showing through the display screen of the car without needing the Navigation Box in the car.

Anyone know any other details of how this may or may not work?
