Hello Guys!

I have bought a W168 A160 2000year car for my wife.
it has got only 63k km in it. The last owner left the car in a garage for 6 month without starting it. Before we buy it we run the engine,without any hesitation. In tha fuel tank it was maybe 5 liter petrol, so we go to the tank station and filled it up with 30 liter petrol.
After 80km the car stopped..when i turn the ignition on the car starts.
after a while again. maybe 20 times in 40km..

i think in the tank there are a lot of dirt, and the in tank fuel pump cant suck petrol from the tank very well.


How can i take it out the IN-TANK fuel pump, and how can i clean the tank.


Now the car when it sleeps 12 hour wont start..I shake the car for 2 min,after it start, not very easy, but start. and everything ok for the next longer stop.

When i take the fuel cap out, i hear a hissing sound for about 3-4second..I dont know what to do.

I can put the fuel cap back in 2 ways..in the cap there are a mercedes icon. I can put it back, with icon upward, and downward.

Maybe when i put it back up/down, i close the fuel ventillation system?

Tha Fuel Pump was the problem. it was bad.

We changed it and everithing turn allright
