W169 Convert A160CDi to A200CDI
Please excuse my intrusion; I'm here at the behest of the wife who wishes me to keep her in a W169 A-Class for life it would seem ...😑
Long story short, the CVT'Box in SWMBO's A200CDi has gone for a burton.
She's found an A160, four years younger, 50k fewer miles, same trim level, same OM640 engine, same 722.801 CVT'box however, it has 81 as opposed to 140HP.
The main difference is the A160 runs the Garrett IHI VV16 turbo whereas the A200 sports a BorgWarner BV43. I realise there'll be other parts to swap over to increase the BHP; ECU, intercooler, etc. perhaps but am wondering what else I'd need to do, transfer etc.
Asking as it could be an interesting project or turn into a nightmare.
Any advice - especially any technical info - gratefully received🙏🏻
