"Tyre pressure monitoring inoperative. No wheel sensors"
Mercedes W176 2015
I replaced the factory wheels with factory-fitted TPMS sensors. I changed for the summer wheels in which you did not have the sensor, so I used 2-3 months the car (5-6 times) , of course the car wrote that "Tire pressure monitoring is inoperative. No wheel sensors ".
Since then, I bought another set of wheel I passed the factory sensors, making sure that all the sensors were in the same place where they were.
Yesterday, I install the new wheels , along with sensors, I started the car , but it still says "Tire pressure monitoring is inoperative. No wheel sensors ", does not detect the sensor.
What need to do? One of my colleagues advised me to go to the car for 20 to 30 minutes to "resuscitate" the sensor. This is true ?

If not it might be the batteries from the sensors that died. But 3 years its a bit short for that to happen... I think they last around 5 years.
You can also try to reset the TPMS.
