Hi all,

I have an issue with an A200D. Details below...
A-Class A200D 2016 W176

After clicking Continue on the Transmission oil level check, the dashboard immediately pinged a fault message.
Without changing gear, consult workshop.
(Xentry > Diagnostics > Y3/14n4 Electronic transmission control .. > Actuations > Oil Level check > )

The fault code is: 287c00 / P287c00 Adaptation was not completed successfully.

First of all, I was not intending to do an adaptation - Just a transmission oil level check.
Why would this cause a fault? Gears can not be selected now and engine is in limp mode.

Has anyone managed to resolve this issue? Looks like checking the oil level (electronically) causes a huge issue and you can't do an adaptation after.
A dangerous option in Xentry / Autel, if it breaks the car.

I actually did manage to complete an Adaptation, which got the gears back.
How did performing an adaptation work for you?
