W176 option code 140?

Hi, as the title suggests I m trying to figure out what option code 140 is about. On vin decoder websites it is described as “Packet 1” / “Paket 1” / “Measurement Package 1”
Anyone happens to know ?

Most likely is about a model year/generation of something, I don't remember, like Head Unit or Parking.

If you post or if you PM me the VIN number I can take a look.

Anyway is quite irrelevant.

I ve pmed you my Vin. The weird thing is that I am searching for a couple of parts and they mention compatibility or not with option 140 and can’t really tell why or what difference would that make.
For instance there seems to be a relation between option 581 (climatronic) and option 140. I would doubt parking related option (?) could some how be related to existence of climatronic

My first opinion is that because 140 is related with Radio/Comand generation, the 581 should also be compatible because of the information that the Radio needs to display about climate.

Head unit and Cluster.

So any 581 with 140 or newer than 806 should be OK

I was looking for a 581 +140 compatible harness and the only one I could spot is A1765407401 which is for RHD cars. All harnesses for LHD exclude the existence of option 140.
That is where I started searching about option 140. Btw mine is a LHD car.

A 176 540 69 01 is what you need, although is too cheap so maybe some of the wires from your 580 harness may be needed too.

140 is more likely about the Chrome/Silver design for buttons from Radio, under the Radio, Climate and cluster Cover. All those parts has 140 like an option.

A 176 540 69 01 is from WDD1760121J611048
