Headlamp Coding

Hi All.

I have replaced the headlamp control module (brand new) on my LED headlamp and I believe it needs SCN coding.

I currently have Xentry with a pass thru device and DTS Monaco.

I have experience using Xentry from a diagnostic point of view but I have never been able to use the SCN coding feature as I have no online login. I have done a fair bit of searching on the forums but can’t seem to find a definite answer on if it is possible to code these using DTS Monaco rather than paying a crazy amount of money to have them initiated.

I have limited coding experience on a previous vehicle (As built data changes) and am reasonably computer literate.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Apologies, thank you for the heads up I will post now.

And it would be a huge help for you to remote, however I am keen to learn as much as possible and want to see if I can manage it myself first. I dont suppose you are able to explain the steps or know where I can find a guide? I have not used DTS monaco before.

I can show you how I code in your screen, maybe this is the best way to start.

Also, I can explain some of the movements, but the learning part should be only your responsibility.

Good to see folks offering to help others for no charge… just for being a forum colleague. Finally a forum that is free of scams, free of people lying, free of puppet accounts….. That’s what makes a good forum (users helping users). I don’t need help for my car but just wanted to say that we need more users and people who are willing to share knowledge.

Hi sgc123, do you mind sharing some lessons learnt? Soon I will try to replace a headlamp control module myself due to water damage (full headlight only if necessary).
I will order the Openport 2.0 interface. Curious about what you have done in Xentry or DTS Monaco?
I believe that the part that needs to be replaced is the A2189009303 LAM-S3 -> parking lights, DRL, indicator/turn signal not working. The Xenon HID headlights work fine.
I am not sure this is the E1n7 module and requires the 11 digit code from the headlight.

Thank you!
