Help with purchase decision
Looking at used 2018 CLA 250 or 2019 A 220. The A220 is the next generation with the digital dash and revised interior. The CLA has the older analog gauges.

I wish I could help you but I own the great grandfather (190E) of the car's you're considering. You might also want to ask your question in the CLA section of the forum to see what advise owners there might have. Hopefully an A class owner will be along to help you.

2021 A35 AMG
I've got a 2017 CLA250, and have a 2021 A35 on order (so that's my decision made, lol)
Some issues with the CLA after living with it for 3 years
- The gearbox on the CLA is quite clunky... very clunky in fact, which can be irritating at low speed (unless you're in Sport mode)
- You will hear the roof creaking, unless you open the sunroof
- Engine Auto start/stop has a mind of it's own when ambient temperature is between 6C and 10C. I basically have to turn the functionality off if the temperature is in this range. It's fine at lower temperatures, because it never turns off
- Passengers ALWAYS complain about 2 things: rear cupholders and rear headroom
Other than that, it's been reliable, easy to drive, easy to own, fast enough hopping onto highways.
