Drain plug question

Hi,
Have anyone tried this drain plug in your Benz A220?
Amazon.com: Votex - Made in USA - M14 x 1.5MM Quick Easy Valve No Mess Oil Drain Plug, Stainless Steel, Fits Acura, Audi, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia : Automotive Amazon.com: Votex - Made in USA - M14 x 1.5MM Quick Easy Valve No Mess Oil Drain Plug, Stainless Steel, Fits Acura, Audi, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, Ford, Honda, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia : Automotive

I own an A220 2019 American version and was wondering if you'd recommend changing the drain plug to this one for easier oil changes. Amazon says it is compatible but I know the lenght (not the thread diameter) is a bit smaller and was wondering if this might be an issue. I plan on using the original crusher.

Thank you for your comments and thoughts.

I've seen and thought about these drain plugs, but haven't installed one on any of my cars. I still have the oil filter cap drain plug to contend with, so a nitrile glove remains part of the experience even with a "no mess" sump drain plug. For me, it's just not a convenience that gonna change my life once every 5K miles.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.I bought the plug but unfortunately was able to install it. There is not enough room to tighten it with the socket.

I recommend just getting a fumoto valve instead.

Thank you. I will try getting that one on my next oil change. Do you think I will need the extender they sell?
