Exclamation ACE! Who knew?

Who knew?!? I called the joint that sold me these wheels, and they are, in fact, made by ACE. So there's no confusion, I've asked the mod to change the title of my post, but these are in fact ACE wheels.

A nice user informed me that Moven doesn't make staggered 19" wheels, and I did some investigating.. Turns out these are ACE wheels, and according to another post here, have the ISO 9002 and QS 9000 certification. What does that mean? I have no idea.. I don't sell wheels for a living. The price still stands, and from what I'm hearing, I lowballed myself, but that's ok. My mom still thinks I'm smart.

Exclamation man

These are still for sale. Like I said, local pickup, for LA area residents.. I don't want to deal with you giving money to some guy, who's gunna give it to somebody else, so you can be driving down at 4am and have me give the wheels to some other dude, that you dont even know... C'mon. How hard is it to do this? You take all the wheels, the tires, the bolts, the spacers, the little center cap thingies.. You give me some cash. It'll take a good 5 minutes. Im only taking offers from LOCAL people. I don't have time to wait for UPS to pick them up, I can't fit all 5 wheels into my CLK and drive them to San Jose or whatever. I'm a reasonable guy, but, dude... come look at them yourself. Maybe I'll just give them away already, ya know? Get 750 bucks together, email me, if we make the sale within 3 days, I'll be a happy man... you'll be a happy man.. or woman.. who am I kidding, there aren't any women on this board.

C'mon me LA peeps. Make me an offer, and get these wheels and tires (and accessories). Now they're kind of in the way in my garage, but I'll entertain offers from people who can pick these up THIS WEEK! Don't make me throw them away.

I was ready to jump all over these this week but I called around to a few rim repair shops and it will cost over $150 to refinish the surface (most of them have flat fees). I'm still waiting to hear back from another shop that I sent the pictures to but I doubt it will be any cheaper not to mention the inconvenience of driving to OC to drop off and pick up the rim.

If only there was an easier way...

I remember trying to get rid of some 19's last December that I had from my CLK and wouldn't fit on my E class. It sat around for so long in my garage I just ended up giving them to my sister as a gift. The used rim business is a real downer. I recently sold a set of practically brand new 20" rims/tires (Motiv Matrix) off of my previous Expedition that I paid $4200 for (this was back when 20" rims on an SUV seemed pretty big). I had them in my garage for over 2 years and ended up just giving them to my contractor that was working on my house for a thousand dollar credit to my bill.

Well, good luck with your sale anyway and I hope you can get these offloaded.

Um, I did drop the price from 900 to 750 because of the refinishing of one rim, and threw in a spare wheel.

how bad was the damage before the refinishing of the set? i might be interested, but only if they were refinished and not bent in the first place.

The front wheels did have some minor bends, as they are 19" wheels, but the bends were repaired perfectly by a great shop, and you would never be able to tell where the light bends were. Honestly, come take a look at them and see for yourself.

Angry and

it's time for a weekly bump. I've talked to so many of you over the phone and all, but alas, nobody has even come to look at these beauties.

its hard to move replica wheels... but, for $750 with relatively good tires, thats a pretty good price..

good luck with the sale

I can only speak for myself here but I think it would be much better if you had the fourth rim fixed and sold the set for the cost of the repair plus what you're asking now.

It's hard to move used rims as it is and like Danny said, it's hard to move replicas on top of that. You have even one more thing working against you, a damaged rim.

I would take the set for $850-900 if all the rims were in perfect condition.

As I have no time to go to a wheel shop to get that 4th rim refinished or whatever, I'd rather the buyer do that themselves and I deducted the price of repair from the price of the wheels. This seems a lot more fair to me, especially since I'm including a 5th wheel and all the spacers. If the buyer plans on having the wheels painted anyway, then it's even more of a bargain, eh.

Oh man.. I got a good feeling about this one! This is worth it just for the joy of being able to sweep up this one corner of the garage where the wheels have been sitting!
