Do you know if any 18" wheels will clear or is it dependant on the offset. I have the ASA ST4's on my 01 W210.

Damn, you're pretty good for a newbie. That was from a LONG time ago and guess what? They are still sitting in my basement, lol. Good luck with the sale. Selling my rims next week and picking up a set of HRE's so we'll see if I have any money leftover to give you a better offer.

Yeah they're still available. If you do a search, I put these up awhile ago along with some other stuff like a Klann spring compressor which by the way is also still available.

As far as wheels and offsets, Brembo only states that you need 18 inch wheels and they are assuming you have the correct offset for the wheels on your application which is +35mm for an AMG rim and +37mm for the ASA ST4 18x8 so sbarsap, you're good.

Blackbenzz, I've been around for awhile but I haven't posted much. Things don't seem to sell real well on here which is interesting since all these cars cost big bucks but good luck to you too.

Billybenz, I'm sorry but they won't fit a w209.

If you guys need anything else, please let me know and thanks for the interest.

Joey,

I talked to you some time ago about these brakes. Too much life was going on to pursue them at the time (deathly sick father that is still in the hospital). My 02 E55 has an offset of 31 for the fronts. Are you saying that I must have at least a 35 et for the Brembos to work?

Caliper Clearance

See the Caliper Clearance Guide for instructions on measuring your wheel/caliper clearance.

Brembo recommends a minimum of 3mm clearance between the caliper and the wheel spoke or rim.

lturner9, 35mm is the "rule of thumb" offset since to make a long story short, the wheel offset is the distance negative or positve that the wheel mounting flange is relative to the center line of the rim. A 31mm offset is actually better for caliper clearance since 31mm positive offset is moving the rim 4mm outward giving you more clearance behind the wheel. All this is relative though because 4mm is only about 3/16 of an inch and Brembo recommends 18's for this brake package mostly because of the massive rotor which is 355mm or 14 inches by itself. So imagine, 14 inches of rotor capped by maybe another inch of caliper and all of a sudden a 17 inch rim's diameter gets pretty tight. So in the end, you're fine and by the way, sorry about your dad.
