how difficult are these to install?

Open the gear shift lever, take out the original shift knob, get the power for the Brabus shift knob from the cigarette lighter. Put everything back on, a 15 mins job!

it's easier to tap into the connector for the shift-gate lights, but either way works.

technically they should fit because for my R171 shiftknob there are manual gearbox pattern included as well as the B logo that goes on the shiftknob which is interchangeble. BUT they do have different part number from the price list.

According to the answer I got from "other" forum........ yes it will fit, but you will lose the shift pattern on the shift knob.

I might actually make a move on that Ebay auction, Frank if I win, I wont be able to purchase that R171 shift knob, its just to pricey for my budget, dont worry though I'll be purchasing other products from you.
