FS: 97 Renntech SL74

1997 SL74
White, 41,000 miles, excellent condition, panoramic glass roof, xenon lights, incredible stereo, celebrity owned. Recently wet sanded, looks brand new. $76k in receipts.

V12, 7.4L
575 HP, 620 lbs-ft torque
Transmission upgrade
Larger front and rear sway bars
Lowered 1 inch
Rear sub-frame modifications
14” 4 piston front Alcon brakes
12” 4 piston rear Alcon brakes
18” BBS chrome wheels

sweet looking car... as for me, i would personally remove the 74 badge. Looks too BMW-ish for me. Nice BBS RS2 wheels, now that's not something you see everyday on a mercedes.

Thanks for the nice comments, shhh yes the 74 badge is from a BMW, Mercedes dont carry any 7 or 4 numbers so I had to be "creative". I believe its really called an SLR 74 but Mercedes wont release the SLR badge without a VIN # from the SLR.

I really dont want to sell her but I'm super busy with my work (I've put oly 800 miles on her in 6 months) and I'm also moving into a townhome that is short on parking spaces and we're only allowed 2 vehicles per house so she sadly has to go.

I'd like to sell her before Xmas but I have till February so dont be shy, bring all reasonable offers.

Its an awesome car, the torque is incredible and your pretty much getting a supercar at a not so supercar price. I definitely recommend RennTech and their work. I have all the magazine articles from when the car came out which are interesting reading, especially that the car has Formula 1 valves installed from a Judd engine.

I also have , brand new in the box, the hoist that makes removing the hard top into a 1 person job.

may be a stupid question, but....Will the car be legal in California, or does ithave to go back to renntech to be modified a bit to be acceptable? ( can always register it to my house in vegas i suppose) due to our smog regulations and stuff....ive wanted an SL before, white is my favorite color, and i just fell in love with yours!
Im Semi-serious...dont count on me though..i wasnt considering buying a car till i saw yours....maybe i should hold myself back till i sell my house...GAH! decisions decisions!
