Anyway, it's a good unit. I paid 1500 for it. The price he's asking is cheap.
And in the even he jips someone and that it's busted, Pioneer charges a flat $200 fee to repair if it's not user abuse (like a broken screen/buttons).

There is the screen unit and the brain which contains the gyro crap. So this is a navigation unit. You get two CD's. One West one East for the USA. You pop in the DVD, select your destination and it downloads it. Then you can take the DVD out and put a movie and watch it while nav works, or put music etc.
However when you want to make changes to your current nav destination or whatever, I THINK you have to put the DVD back in. Kinda sucks.
Otherwise, compared to my IVA-D900 and Alpine nav in my E55, the AVIC-N1 is far more advanced. My setup cost $4k. You do the math!

I don't know if you can read this or not, but this is a Canbus adpater that would allow you to use your steering wheel control buttons to work your aftermarket nav.

I'm getting the N2 for 1k.Customer did not like it because he couldnt see dvd's while driving. My buddy says it's easy to bypass.Good price yes no
