Not sure where you came up with that - Kelly Blue Book puts the retail value of an 99 E55 at ~28K, with private values at 24K for an excellent example and 20K for a fair one. These calculations are at the average of 78K miles.

My car is low miles for the year and has been well cared for. Maybe prices are lower in your area - I can't tell from your profile.
