Yeah I decided to keep it a while longer...I have 3 buyers and all them have other cars to play with and great credit so it seems, so we'll see what happens. I may or may not transfer the lease for the remaining 15 months since I am not sure I can get a deal like this ever again on any $100k+ car: money factor/incentives/dealer discount/residual/my credit were all PERFECT. Also, I had probably 30 responses since this post was created and many of the individuals had no credit, etc. MB has to approve the new buyer guys....I am not going to keep the lease in my name and just let a stranger play with my hard earned credit score.

Sounds like a good deal except for the residual. 66k. I can buy the car right now for less than that. That payment is awesome though.

The thing about getting a good lease is trying to get the highest residual possible in order to get the payments lower....have you leased a MB before? The only positive thing about leasing through MB financial as your bank of choice is the boosted residual values and possible added incentives (trunk money). No one who knows the car business actually wants a low residual, rather they want a low money factor. The higher residual the better....this is not a purchase.

OK I am thinking about letting it go again and getting an AMG.....payment is $699 + tax...and the car still only has 12,000 miles or so.....new front pads and rotors were just done at the "stealer". $4000 down obo.....but please dont message me unless your credit score will be approved by MB financial on a SL priced car....other details about the lease can be found above.

Thanks

Pretty good deal for a SL. I paid $515 a month on my Lease G35 Coupe and your car worth two time more. Damn that only $241 dollar difference. If you still have it by July when I'm back from HK, I will definitly get this.

All new body SL's have Navi....this one also has the new bigger screen....anyway I still have it but may let it go if someone really wants it. I had a job change and couldn't deal with the transfer for a while even with all the responses and with my payment its like its free anyway =) . I may still let someone take it but CA inquires only please unless you are willing to come to CA and deliver the down payment check yourself and take the car.....Ive had 2 scammers so far approach me. Almost 14k miles on her now and about a year left on the lease....right in time for summer.

Well still havent transfered it.....$2800 down/$699+tax plus MB approval takes it for the last 11 months....beyond incredible deal on a 2005 $102k MSRP SL with 13,xxx miles. Guess I should have let it it go a few months back when I had 10 buyers...lol.

That would make it ~$1000/month for 2005 SL lease. If it has 2-3 years left, I think it's a great deal, but for 11 months, I think it's okey.

If someone who want to put a lot of mile (due to commute, travel, cruising around...)into the SL within a year w/o paying much penalty, this is a good deal ? Paying $11K for having to drive the SL500 for 16K mile in 11 months, not too bad. I don't know that many people would drive the SL that much though. Anything less in mileage doesn't make the deal as attractive

If you want to buy the car today, how much do you have to pay Mercedes ? And how much you want to sell the car for ? That's probably the easiest way to judge value of the deal.

Regardless, great car you have there

To answer all your questions above.....this lease is for someone who wants it for about a year at a great price....check what a 1 pay 12 month lease would be on a 102k SL with minimal miles. Thanks.

Also, the residual value buy-out price is the worst way to judge a lease.....the higher the residual the lower the payment. If you want a low residual on a short term lease in order to buy it out later the deal will be very unattractive. Ive leased a few MB's...the only positive thing about MB finacial is the boosted residuals.
