Ok we have a two year old setup. 2x 10W6V2 JL Subs, with grills (one of the grill has a small ding), in custom made box PER JL specs. Comes with a 5 farad ALUMAPRO cap (called "The Cap") and a 1250x1watts amp made by Planet Audio. the setup was DB tested at 152db ( I think that's what it was). It's loud as ****, but also clean as hell.

Mike....that particular setup hit 149.5dbs in my old 03' CL type-S 6speed.

and to the guy that posted above that he only hit 149 w/ 2 13.5 JLW6's......it's ALL about who built the box, baby! (and you are probably underpowering them as well)

My box was built to 35 hertz.! and i have two jl 1000 to it! so its not underpowered/. trust me im a car audio freaK!! but are u willing to part the cap?

the 13.5 W6V2's can handle a lot more than just a JL 1000 each. trust me. the JL1000 amps don't have much *****.... i had a 10w7 in my last benz (factory JL red-eyeball box). At my first db drag, I had a rockford BD1500 running it (with the gain only at 3/4). I hit 150.2 dbs. At the second db drag I brought my car to, all I did was swap out the fosgate amp to a POS JL1000(gain 90% the way up). I only hit 148.5.

Anyways, if you are a true car audio buff, you should already know that JL amps are extremely over-rated, and NOT up to the quality of their subs.
