Fs: Cold Air Intake Mod (brand New)

Hi, some of you have seen my cold air intake mod, for the V6s. I'm not sure about HP gains but def a huge sound difference (c230 05 heard this in person a few times). The engine gives this huge sucking and "whoosh" kinda noise. Like I have said, this one is BRAND NEW, I bought two, and i still have mine on. This is for any dual intake V6/V8s. Everything shown in the picture is included.

this item is $220 SHIPPED ANYWHERE 48 STATES! obo. (if out of state, not sure about charges)

Here is a short video/sound clip inside the cabin when I first installed. (I kept the car on first gear)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1cJoi93Ivhw

Pictures of how mine sat, Diff size piping is included. The passanger one can also be installed how the drivers side one sits.

IF interested, Please PM me

do you think this setup will work on a c32? If you use filters at the the ends like that, do we need to take the filters out of the boxes?

wouldn't that set up just suck in all the hot air from the engine compartment?

Yes and no! The shields are supposed to prevent the hot air but as you can see it is not the best setup. I was thinking about making a few modifications to it. IMO the stock intake setup is EXCELLENT, it really doesnt get much better than that for COLD AIR! BUT... because of the setup coming straight in from the center grill on the C32's, it also sucks in A LOT of dirt and dust. When I last replaced my filters i found a bee in there as well haha... either way, it was just a question, I could build something like that... I dont think I would spend 220 on it!

well I said $220 OBO.

take the filters out of the airbox. Sucking in hot air or not, Its a yes and no.

Recently the car sounds alot deeper (b/c of the cold weather). The setup is very close to the openings where the stock plastic pipes sit.

Just be happy you didnt find any small woodland creatures in there with all that boost the C32 supercharger is running, lol You never want to take air in from the engine bay. Hot air = bad air.

it is not good to take hot air in from the engine bay yes, but on the C32's the location and size of the air ducts are quite large. If positioned properly and after some custom work, it may actually function quite well. The way it is currently setup in the photo i dont know but I have some other ideas. It may even prevent less debris in the the intake.

Nissan GT-R cobb/midpipe/ic piping/wastegate actuators/tials
defeats the purpose of a performance car if you're actually reducing the power. take $75 and get a resonator delete then spend the rest on something else like green filters or k&n's.

he's just voicing his opinion. this is a forum, the last time i checked........

anyways, after I deleted my rear 2 cats and my 1.5 foot long resonator, my car's throttle response was quicker, and if nothing else, the car was around 50 pounds lighter =)

does cat delete do any diff? or is it just EXTREMELY loud? (obviouslt with the res delete)

I thought about replacing the cats with evosport's highflow cats, but they said no point to that.

I'm thinking about doing a cat delete also. but im afraid the car would be annoyingly loud.

btw, I'm running on remus catback and eisenmann's straight pipe.

by which side do you mean?

First, the products were created according to how the CROSSFIRE ones were created. (assuming most of the engine bay are similar). Both intakes were to point downward.

BUT, found out that pointing it foward is more effective. where the air comes in. thats why a few types of piping are included. also. depends how much space your vehicle has. ie. mine is a sport coupe, so the engine bay is sligtly smaller than the sedans.

Thanks c230 05. thanks for explaning to everyone that i'm not BSing about the sound
