FS: 2001 E55 **EXCELLENT** Below KBB Trade-In
It's tough even at KBB Trade-in!!! I don't mind having 3 AMG's...
but I don't have enough garage space
and I have no heart parking one of them on the driveway (right now one is at my friend's
). So at least one has to go... and since my wife loves the C a lot more than this one (smaller, newer, more nimble), I'm more motivated to sell this one than my C
Why? Well if you don't mind reading

Someone looked at the car and test drove it late afternoon today.... when I arrived home, I noticed the rear right tire was half flat (not completely flat - the wall is still straight - but you could see it needed more air). Checked the pressure and found it dropped by 4psi (I checked tire pressure yesterday morning). Alas... there was a nail... not big and in the middle...
Not sure whether it got the nail during the test drive or when I was driving it yesterday...Went to the tire shop... thinking of fixing it. But when they took off the tire, I didn't feel right to have it fixed.... how about if the buyer speeds and blows the tire up?
So decided to replace both rear. Just to be safe and a bonus for the prospective buyer
So... the car is in even better shape now.... new tires, feels faster, same price

Need to sell it before this coming weekend.... why? Friend's garage will not be available starting Monday and I don't want this car sit on my driveway and do some tanning during the day...

So... I will sell it to anyone who has the highest offer by end of day Sunday, has the money ready and pick the car up by Monday... Remember, this car has BRAND NEW rear tires... and if you give me any offer at or above $22K, I will put a set of BRAND NEW front tires also.
But before making any offer, please keep in mind the following information so we are not wasting each other's time:
- Got an offer at $21.5K but buyer needs to sell his car first. If he's sold the car on or before Sunday or decides to get the car right now, I'll sell it at $21.5K.
- Got an offer at $22K but buyer needs to secure financing.
- Got an offer at $20K... buyer has the money ready but he's out-of-state buyer.
- LOCAL Manheim auction (dealer's auction) just sold 2001 black w/ 63K miles for $21K.
Plan to get another data point from CarMax today... Since KBB Trade-in is still between $21K-$23K and the fact Manheim auction just sold one at $21K, I would be hard pressed if CarMax gives me any offer below $20K.
Current car's mileage: 72,600. Expect to be around 72,800-72,900 after I went to CarMax.
Don't PM... call me at 510-219-9336.
BTW, the car is in SF Bay Area (East Bay - Fremont/Union City area).

Just got back from CarMax.... man, 2 hours one way w/ some traffic...They offered $20.5K (I just know that they don't negotiate at all
even $500 - I was looking to get $21K
)... so any offer lower than this will not be considered. Sorry...So.... last call. I will let this car go by Sunday, 4/29 or Wednesday, 5/2 the latest (when CarMax's offer expires). Anyone?
The Best of Mercedes & AMG
If I wait a bit longer, I may have been able to get more.... but no garage space and a very nice buyer (courteous, good personality and a car lover) made me sell it to him.
