Fs '85 300td
I have a 1985 MB 300TD that I can no longer keep in my driveway. It was our everyday car until about mid August when the floor under the drivers seat decided it no longer wanted to hold the seat up. The floor pan under the driver's seat is rusted quite badly, and a repair would be quite a task. What I am hoping for is that someone out there can use this car for it's other good parts, or a restoration specialist could get someting out of it. The car still runs well, I start it at least once a week. It has a good transmission and rear, five like new tires and a like new wheel on the spare. The windshield is just about one year old with a new gasket. All other glass is in great shape. The left rear door window doesn't work every time, but all the others do. The interior has a lot of good parts yet. The exterior does have some rust behind the wheels. The hood and trunk deck are good, and the sun roof still would work,but I had to seal it when it started to leak (probably what did in the floor). I hate the thought of junking it, when I'm sure there is someone out there who may get something out of it. I'm not asking a set price, but I would like to get something. The car is in Sussex County New Jersey. I will be happy to send photos to anyone who is interested.
