............Just someone else does not fall into the same trap. I bought one of those leys fropm ebay 4 months ago and took them to the dealer. NO, YOU CANNOT REPROGRAME THEM. I lost 80 bucks.

Do not despair, resell it on E-bay, older Benz's will be able to be programed.

Don,
Some but not all Benz's, I gave the example of a 1997-98 that had to be reprogrammed by the dealership, so in that case yes if the infrared was applicable to that vehicle.
