My 1991 300CE (M104 - 3.0L) on Craigslist
As you know - on older cars in particular - condition is absolutely key to value. I think we all have access to autotrader.com, ebay and craigslist and other sources and see what other like kind/age/mileage cars are going for, or what the asking prices are.
If someone wants a $3000 roach-of-a-car with significant problems that they'll have to immediately dump another $2K-$3K into, this is not the bargain they seek.
I won't entertain any offers without an individual at least asking some diligent questions about the car or without asking to see it or request an inspection be made.
I'm not in the wholesale business, but would rather pass the car on to another enthusiast (in which case I'll gladly be flexible on price).
