A senior forum member from MercedesShop (Jim B. ) has seen and driven in this car and can confirm its condition. Its been Relisted due to deadbeat bidder (last time sold for $6000 without rims). Deadbeat Ebay Guy (not Jim B.) jerked me around for a month promising to pay.
Im asking for more $$$ on ebay, but will take a $6000 cash offer if you get it to me before this weekend. Rims are listed for sale here (with pics of each one):

It is CLEAR TITLE and cosmetic damage only, you can drive this to the SoCal meet, maybe meet some folks who can help you get the parts you need to fix it? Its ideal for a bodyman or someone who can swap out the hood fenders doors and trunk from another SL, repaint etc.
63k miles, get a SL600 as a great low priced daily driver. Slap some seatcovers on and enjoy the sun! It would not be cost effective to make it perfect/show quality inside and out, or to have the work done yourself at retail shop prices if you are not in the autobody business or handy with cars yourself or through friends. But you can easily swap panels from a donor SL (no accident damage, so its a simple bolt-on swap process). All the damage is PURELY cosmetic. NOT mechanical. You can drive this car today. Get the body done later, whenever you feel like it.
They did not get into the engine compartment, trunk, etc. The softop was stowed while the car was vandalized, so that wasnt touched. It would also be an excellent parts car for anyone who needs mechanical parts, as its low mileage (63,400) My idea if I was to keep it, was just leave it as is , debadge it and race it or drift it. TO show there is no mechanical damage, I took some videos of it:

Has all books and records. And anyone is more than welcome to come see it in person. It is near San Francisco. If there is a more appropriate place to advertise this car in this forum, kindly let me know. I would like to find a legitimate buyer (so many deadbeats and time wasters on ebay) and preferably a Mercedes enthusiast who appreciates these cars.

MBWorld Fanatic!
I am very interested in the car. Would you be willing to meet me at my buddies shop so he can access the damage and I can see how much it will cost me to fix it up? The shop is in the san mateo area. Please PM me for my info. Thanks. Tommy
H Tommy, You are welcome to come see it and bring your mechanic with you (its in Daly City)... If you are seriously interested, this should not be a problem. Unfortunately Im pretty busy and have no time to be taking it around to various shops/peoples houses in the Bay Area for them to look at it. If youd like to set up a time to come see it, feel free to email or PM me
yeah get the popcorn, this is going to be interesting! Bids are currently only at $5000 so this may be the lowest price SL600 ever sold!
