Just wondering if the group buy frenzy for these nice rims has ended yet? If the deal is still on, I will prob get a set of those too. Need to ask you guys something first though...

Will the 19'' clear all the fittings on a stock C32? Also, it seems like it'll have to be 8.5 all around, is that right?

this rim will clear C32... i just ordered a set. you can go staggered setup which will be 19x8 in front and 19x9 in back. and 2.5 inch lip in front and 3 inch lip in back. just something to think about~

this GB should last for a while...

2G430: eric told you its 800 per wheeL?? omg.... did you tell him you are with jerry's GB on the mercedes forum?

Hey guys, I am a bit confused about some of the specs regarding rim width/lip combination. Thanks to SiLvaC32 for the tip, "staggered setup which will be 19x8 in front and 19x9 in back. and 2.5 inch lip in front and 3 inch lip in back." Does that mean if I were to get 19x8.5/19x9.5 Front/back, the width of the lip will have to be reduced? Is that how it works? Also, there is no offset and spacer issues to be considered here, is that right?

well... the offset is sorta custom for our cars. im doin ET32, and a not stagger setup. 19x8.5 all around. just that i can rotate my wheels. but if you want to go that wide on the back, i would think that the lips would be reduced... i don't think you want rubbing against your fender, but... u can always roll ur fenders. there are always ways. you can talk to Eric. and see what he says.

btw... guys... i have changed my order from a 10 spoke to a 7 spoke.

Silva, I'm interested in seeing more pictures of their rims. If you could send me some pics at neptunian2@msn.com, I'd appreciate it! Do they have other styles we can choose from and get the GB pricing?

I'm looking for some 18's and love the HRE look. How do their HRE prices compare to this GB price? Any idea?

I can't believe I've missed this thread!

Thanks!

Xeon,
Please verify the experience and condition of your friend's wheel. The wheels should not rust. The center, and inner and outer lips are manufactured from an aluminum alloy which is non ferrous.

If your friend has a problem with the wheels sold by SPP and built by RD Sport, I could possibly help. Please email me the specifics of your friend's problem and experience. To date I have not heard of any corrosion related problems. I know the owners of SPP and RD Sport and will try to help out. I'll call Eric at SPP and Federico at RD Sport to inquire about this wheel.

I do not really understand how the rims rust too, but it seems that he was so disappointed with the quality that he threw it into his garage after using it for less then 2 wks. I shall try to get more info for you guys.

Before I come to any conclusion, I would like to remind you that my posts are just for advicing purposes. I have no intention to try and ruin SPP or RD's reputation as i believe they are nice ppl to work with. Let me check out more information about the wheel =)

But i must say, the price is very attractive!

Lightbulb This doesn't make any sense...

...I just spoke to Eric/SPP and he confirmed that there is currently only one set of SPP wheels on a BMW, it's Eric's personal friend and the wheels are not rusted.

Furthermore, like Derek said, aluminium is non-ferrous and does not rust. I would like to add that SPP get its outer lips from ARS who also supplies HRE.

Please tell me who has the SPP wheels that are rusting and who are the other(s) complaining about the quality because Eric would really like to know and take care of the problem(s), if there are any.

Please advise, you can e-mail me at: s4madman@earthlink.net.

Thank you!

id like to put in some input on this

especially being someone whose very active and is apart of the bmw community, i am also a good friend with the person who has the set of wheels that is out and I GUARANTEE there is no rusting on those wheels infact this seems like a blatant lie...if you dont believe me see for yourselves the reaction of the bmw community to the new wheels SPP has released. Nothing but great quality great prices and great products.

http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...0&pagenumber=1

click the link and see for yourselves what the BMW community thinks of SPP's products and wheels and if there was any type of rusting these people wouldnt be praising the wheel as they do

Thanks
Manu

Does anyone have the ability to "photoshop" a set of the 7 & 10 spoke rims on a CLK? I'd really like to see these on the car before dropping cash.

Thanks!

Thanks to JSasse for letting me borrow the original picture.
