Awaiting a new arrival...
Possibly FS: 2002 C230 Coupe, 3100 Miles

I am seriously trying to resist the urge to buy a Lancer Evolution, but find it may be necessary to try to sell this outright versus trading in and taking a massive loss. The car is as listed in my sig, but for details:

2002 C230 Coupe Kompressor (2.3L)
6 Speed Manual
Brilliant Silver/Charcoal Leather
C1/C4/C5/C7 Option Packages
COMAND Navigation (Factory Installed with All Discs)
6 CD Changer

I ordered this car in December 2001 and took delivery in April 2002 at Ed Potter Mercedes Benz in Columbus, Ohio.

Original C7 17" Alloys are brand new and were removed before I took delivery. With the 225-45-17 Michelins. These were never used and have been properly stored.

17x7.5 front and 17x8.5 rear AMG 203s with Falken 225-45-17s front and 245-40-17s rear. This set has very low miles, as they were installed when the car was delivered.

The 6 CD Changer and the COMAND system have never been used. As in, I have never used a NAV disk and have never used the 6 CD changer EVER. Wastes of money, I know!

This car has been adult driven and broken in properly. It has not been abused, tracked or had any paint or body work performed ever. It has, however, won a local German car show for cleanest Mercedes Benz product...(no joke)

This car had its first oil change done, at my expense, in November 2001 at 3000 miles. Service A was just performed at 3100 miles in August.

I have had complaints regarding the lack of smoothness with the transmission, which has completely gone away since having the dealer drain a small amount of fluid from the tranny. All accessories and functions work perfectly on the car at this time.

The car was properly stored from November to August at my desire while I drove other vehicles available to me. I moved the car monthly and properly managed the battery without any issue during this time.

Floor mats have never been used and are in an unopened package. I have used a set of AMG C32 mats instead. I also have a set of EVOLUTION package mats from Germany available.

The car does NOT have a front plate bracket installed, at my wish. I have had the factory bracket painted body color and carry it inside the car when it is driven.

The front bumper side lights have been replaced with amber bulbs and clear lenses and are factory quality.

Aftermarket parts purchased, but never installed include AMG C32 brakes, Remus dual-tip exhaust and the AMG rear spoiler. These items are all brand new, but were not installed, as the car was not being driven.

I ordered this car the way I wanted it after driving the C230 coupes at COMDEX 2001 Las Vegas everyday as part of the MB exhibit. I was so impressed with the overall package/value, I spec'd the car the way I wanted it and had my dealer change an allocation to my liking. Unfortunately, at that time, all coupes were selling for sticker price and I paid it (there is a first and last time for everything and that is my first and last time of ever doing that again).

I have had many cars to use over the last few years and have preferred to store the C230, rather than drive it daily and subject it to rain or snow. The car has almost never been wet, has never seen snow or salt and is in MINT condition. There is no seat wear, no chips, dings, dents, scratches or imperfections whatsoever.

In my quest to begin driving the car again, I had it serviced with its first Service A as of 3100 miles and have had it in my primary garage since. It typically is stored in one of my parents multiple garages in a private residence carriage garage when not in use.

I have been bitten by the bug to stop playing with my cars and pick something I can drive everyday and not want to modify. The urge to modify this car is great, but the Lancer Evolution is calling my name and everyday it gets louder. I can drive that car daily without the urge to modify. The C230, unfortunately, is begging for me to install what I have any buy more. Not good.

So, where am I after all of this blabber?

I am open to offers for this car, knowing full-well I will lose my *** with how the 2003 and 2004 cars are being discounted. From trade-in perspectives, I have been offered from $13000-21000 towards new Mercedes product or the Lancer Evolution. The best offer having come from a Mitsubishi dealer. I will listen to all offers at this time, as I am testing the waters.

I know, I know, throw it on Ebay...not yet. Pics available on request. For those selling recently, tell my what you've been offered/received for comparison. Thanks!
