sorry bud, but your ad states that "front tires have approximately 75% tread and rear tires have about 60% tread left", yet, looking at the pics... they are damn almost bald...

I'd be interesting in see ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS of the tread... i'd be extremely surprised if the tires have more than 3mm of tread left... which is legally bald...

i added the pictures of the tread as a reference, if you want to come see them for yourself, be my guest, I don't lie in my advertisements, if you don't want to believe me, that is fine, don't bid on the wheels then...

so the FIRST pic that MMGRAD posted of the tire is NOT one of the tires that you are selling? people usually stand the tires up, and take the pic of the tread that way, so the camber wear is revealed. By just taking a pic of one side of the tire, potential customers can NOT see that.

both pictures are of the exact same tire actually (its one of the rears, so its going to have slightly less tread than thre fronts). its kind of tough to judge the exact wear on a tire from pictures bcs its going to look different from different angles and in different light, which is why i prefer a local buyer who can inspect them for himself. anyway, i know these pictures are not the best, but its all i have for now, and i'd appreciate people not jumping to conclusions about things they don't know about or have never seen before, especially if they're not interested in buying. thank you.

hey, i'm not trying to bash your tread or auction, i'm just saying, when i first looked at the pic, it doesn't look like 65-75% tread remaining, and i'm sure other people will feel the same...

even the picture above doesn't look like it has much tread on the tire...

what you should do, is put a coin(penny/dime/quarter/etc) in the tread pattern and then take a pic... that way, bidders can use the coin as a reference point because the picture doesn't help much by itself...

good luck with ur auction...

first off, i'm not PMing your buyers, and i'm not trying to interfere with your sale...

there is no need for you to send harassing PMs to me.

But in my own defense, this is a free forum... and i'm watching out for other people's interest... including you..

i merely suggested that you take pictures with a coin to use as a reference point... if you choose not to use that advice, thats your choice... some people opt not to use a reference point purposely to mislead others (i'm not saying you are), but if the tread is 60-75%, using a coin as a reference will only reassure interested buyers and get you a better selling price.

i sent you a pm because it was supposed to be just that, a Private Message... and I also said if it wasn't you to disregard the message...so, why are you responding to me on this forum??

Your 2nd Picture..

Sorry.. but even your second picture is BALD. thats NOT 60%... not even 30%. From looking at the 2nd picture.. your thread wear is exactly matching the height of your "indicators". If your not sure what the indicators are... they are the thread that are in between your thread lines and is recessed. Once your tires wear down to that indicator, you should be looking for new tires. Just my 2 cents.

simply because i don't like your accusations sent via PM, and in short, you pretty much said, 'shut up and mind your own business'....

and for the most part, you are right... i should mind my own business if it doesn't effect me... but i like to butt in because i like to watch out for other people on the forum too... i've been screwed by misleading sellers to before, so I'm just trying to watch out for other newbies that might be blinded by the bling-bling and not asking the right questions...

if you your tires are what they are, then why u taking offense when i'm not insulting you or ur sale... if you out to scam someone, then you deserve the heat you getting...

in any case, like i said, i'm not the one interferring with your sale

wow, first of all, those tires are at the wear indicator just like clkal said - they're already in need of replacement.

and second, this is a public forum, so anyone is well within their rights to ask questions/make observations regarding your merchandise in order to prevent less knowledgeable people from getting screwed or paying more than they should.

Just because someone points out a problem with your merchandise is no reason to harrass them. It makes you look bad to any prospective buyer that might be reading, and violates the terms of service of the forums.

i'm not trying to rip anyone off or get someone to overpay for what i'm selling, which is why i encourage people to come pick them up from me in person, so there won't be any confusion. the fact that you've been misled by dishonest sellers before doesn't make everyone a crook; but, I don't blame you for looking out for folks on the boeards by pointing things out...

no hard feelings man
