Point is that it may be helpful to let forum members know that this CD may not be used for US comand updates (at least to the best of my knowledge, I actually have the same CD). ECE stands for the Euro version

The reason for caution is simple; while this CD offers really nice feature updates, but if the update fails, it may/will render the comand inoperable and requiring replacement of unit. If MB finds out that a Euro firmware update was performed, warranty may not be there either..

PS. Btw, Anybody with a Euro Comand should consider getting this. It is a nice update. Here is a pic for all comand versions supported...

now if you have a euro comand and you put that update disk in there, wont that turn off the tv in motion feature if it was enabled?

Some people had problems with their COMAND and even just to download that software on the web. I don't think it's legal to put it on the web for sharing such a file.

if you are not interested in it, just be it. I never said that it won't work for any other cars nor I never tried it. if you cannot afford it, just forget about it.

It will work for COMAND Nav. In the past, I've heard some folks saying that they're having problems downloading it from internet for whatever reason.
