When did Kenwood make the 815? I thought the newest one was the 915. I could be wrong...

The 815 was released because the first 915's had serious issues. The 715 does not have the bottom display like the 815 does. I had the 815 in my 02 Avalanche and loved it. $750 is a good deal...

Ok, makes perfect sense! $750 is a steal. If I could justify it right now, I would buy it from you in a heart beat. I am afraid, however that my better judgment is telling me not at this time. Good luck to you!

How does this compare to the Alpine CVA 1006?

better than the alpine 1006. alpine is no longer at the forefront.
