Fair enough, if you could get it for a good deal by all means, go for it, can't go wrong
Plus you get a V8 and the size if you need it. Unless you are looking at the SL 43, I think it is not bad either but I would spring for the SL 55, or maybe the SL 43 really isn't bad I will need to reserve judgement and test one (if it ever comes to Canada that is). I know you guys have the option of 43, 55 and 63, we only have 63 here.

Hmmm, silence from this thread? no one is interested? no dislikes/likes of this car, comments, opinions about the design and features etc. on this car? Personally, it is still on my shopping list (really sad that there is a b-pillar but... anyways) I guess forum members prefer something else?
Well, I do understand some moved on to the R232 SL, I can't fault you folks because that vehicle's prices kept being lowered to move remaining inventory, and the CLE is "just" an E or even C apparently.
For those in the minority who are still interested in this car, here are some more videos that popped up in my subscription list today (including some that are recommended by youtube and not from my subscriptions):

I guess there are still many users who didn't find this new forum that's why it's quiet.
If I had to get a new car maybe I would get the CLE in 2024 or 2025, but at the same time, 2-year-old off lease R232 SLs will flood the market with competitive pricing.

True. I do personally like the size of the CLE and do prefer a new vehicle over a used one but that is just me really. I am part of the minority after all. Not denying the R232 is a good vehicle though.

No more MB:(
I'll reserve judgement until I see one. Definitely need the AMG version as I find the standard trim a bit boring, much like the current E coupe. Curious on pricing for the 53, assuming it comes with a 6 cylinder and I'm only interested in a cabriolet version. Otherwise I might jump into a low mileage SL 2023/24 or a BMW 850i, which I think is a good value for what you get vs MB at the same price point.

Not sure how others who've commented in this thread to contrary can't see that, it'll be all clear when finally unveiled and I hope I'm not wrong as I'm super keen on one and those wheel fenders complete the exterior package

That rear fender is HUGE....

Compare that to the base CLE variant which has standard sedan style flat fenders by comparison.

Been looking at the AMG variants of this new model for ages now since it first showed up last year and in my eyes it definitely has bulged wheel arch flares both front and rear which look even larger than the C205 C63's arches...

The new W206 C63 looks good it would look absolutely great with large rear wheel arches.
It would be a safe bet that there's no V8 for the CLE series. All most can hope for is the inclusion of the IL6 and not a replication of the new C Class AMG's IL4.

Mercedes never incorporates all around nice bulging arches to their AMG sedans (or estates/wagons), unlike Audi & BMW they only include them in the front because of the necessary wider front track. I'm sure it puzzles a lot of people why they don't do that...

I was right about the massive flared arches much more pronounced than even the previous C205 WOOHOO !!! this things a looker.
That's 2 in a row now from MB/AMG first the new GT and now the AMG variants of the CLE, for a coupe & convertible lover like myself this is so awesome.
Here's hoping the 63 variant also has an IL6...

As for engine, sad times, I mean we used to hope the 63 has a V8 (which we glad to have when MB continued with a 4.0L V8) because competitors has six cylinders (or otherwise the norm), now we actually hope for six cylinders because we fear that it will get four cylinders instead, time really has changed eh...
