If it were me, I would do 10K miles or 1 year, whichever comes first. It does depend on your driving conditions, weather, stop and go, engine loading, etc.
I'm sure you will get a few other opinions in here though.

Mercedes has been using synthetic oils for years like Mobil 1. Those types of oils don't need frequent changes as in years past. I used synthetics on my airplane engines 30 years ago. Teardown of the engines showed almost no wear.

Synthetics don't break down the way non-synthetics do, but they still collect contaminants from air and fuel combustion. I've never considered re-using what I drain at 5K miles, not even for chainsaw bar oil. But it burns well in my neighbor's waste oil heater.
