AMG GT wheels on CLE53-tpms frequency

Very technical question here, but looks like wheels from the AMG GT 4 door are the same size/staggered widths as CLE53 wheels. I am considering a set as winter wheels.

However, the CLE53 uses dual frequency TPMs sensors that can transmit at 315 or 433mhz whereas the ones that come on the AMG gt transmits only at 433mhz. Does any one know if our CLE will be able to pick up the 433 only sensors or does it need to be a dual band sensor to work? Appreciate the help and hopefully someone here has tried this !

Curious here - ran both the wheel and TPMS compatibly issues past the AI chatbot - findings below in italics.

Firstly the TPMS issue.

The CLE 53’s TPMS control unit is designed to work with dual-frequency sensors, meaning it can process signals at either 315 MHz or 433 MHz. The claim that the CLE 53 uses dual-frequency TPMS sensors appears to be a misunderstanding. The OEM sensor (A0009052102) is a 433 MHz sensor, standard for European and most global markets. The CLE 53’s TPMS control unit may support both frequencies, allowing compatibility with aftermarket dual-frequency sensors, but the factory-installed sensors are 433 MHz.

The CLE 53’s OEM TPMS sensor, part number A0009052102, is a 433 MHz-only sensor, identical to the sensor used in the 2019–2025 Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door. This part number is correct for both vehicles, and the GT 4-Door’s 433 MHz sensors are fully compatible with the CLE 53’s TPMS system, requiring only a standard TPMS relearn/reset to register the sensor IDs. The dual-frequency claim likely stems from aftermarket sensor compatibility, but the OEM sensors for both models are 433 MHz. For using GT 4-Door wheels on the CLE 53, the TPMS sensors pose no issue, provided a relearn is performed.

Secondly the wheel compatibility .. There might be a slight offset issue with the wheels - something worth exploring further.

Wheel Size and Offset:
  • CLE 53: 9.0J–9.5J front (ET35–ET40), 10.0J–11.0J rear (ET25–ET35).
  • GT 4-Door: 9.5J–10.0J front (ET30–ET40), 11.0J–11.5J rear (ET20–ET30).
  • The offsets and widths are close, but GT 4-Door wheels may sit slightly further out (lower ET)

This is helpful although the part number data is where I’m still unsure. When looking iat Mercedes part websites are listing 000905841364 as the Cle53 TPMs part number. The number ai provided comes up as e-class. I’m going in for service this week and can ask parts dept for actual part numbers. Will keep you posted!

Seems the A0009052102 P/N has numerous cross references

From another AI chatbot.

The OEM Mercedes‑Benz part number for the TPMS sensor fitted to the 2024–2025 CLE53 AMG (4MATIC+ Coupe) is:
  • A000 905 2102 (also listed as 0009052102 / A0009057105 / A0009057205 / 0009054104 / 0009058706)
  • This is the genuine OE sensor typically used for the CLE53 AMG (433 MHz). Note that some listings might reference equivalent part numbers like 000 905 84 13 64, but those generally serve legacy models and frequencies; the current, year‑specific OEM is A0009052102 for your vehicle.

Very helpful! Scary what AI can come up with. Anyone have any pics of CLE with AMG GT wheels?

Also, just to add, wheels don't come with the TPMS sensors. Those are separate and replaceable. If you have to, you can just transfer the TPMS sensors from one wheel to another. They are part of the valves, not the wheels.
