Mercedes Me app Collision Warning but no crash

Yesterday I was having dinner in Santa Barbara at my friends restaurant on Stearn's Wharf (the pier) and I got a Collision Detected Warning. I went outside and nothing had happened. The pier, which is very old, and looks like the driving/walking surface is made or rickety railroad ties. When I was driving onto it, it was very loud and bumpy, so I can only assume that the warning was triggered by a car either driving by or parking next to my car... It just seems weird that the warning didn't happen when I was driving the car over the bumpy surface but happened when another car was... All I know is that it freaked me out to get that warning and it would have sucked if my car was somewhere further away... Has this happened to anyone?

Oh, yea. I had a pretty good rainstorm trigger mine. Pretty common. At least it's confirmation that it's working.

I had a collision warning message show up when I returned to car from a restaurant . No sign of any damage ,so either a very minor parking bump or false detection ??

Constant. I live in a large building with a concrete garage attached and I get the collision warning on occasion just because another car passing my spot caused a shake/tremor. It’s extremely sensitive.

Yes. It happened to me when my car was parked after loud thunder.
