Press AMG on the row of buttons under the 11.9" center screen. Select Engine and bottom center of that screen it shows psi of the turbo.

Sorry one correction....you get to the screen pictured by going to the AMG Performance app on the 11.9" screen.. If anybody knows how to see the boost in the HUD please advise...

Seems the boost gauge has disappeared mostly in the newer cars. Especially in the 53 it's somewhat irrelevant as in addition to the turbo, there's an electric supercharger and the hybrid assist from the motor in the transmission. Instead they seem to have opted for displaying torque and power, and whether the hybrid battery is being charged or how much power assist it delivers.

Boost is still just as relevant. The electric supercharger functions the same way as the turbocharger, the only difference is where the energy comes from. The supercharger gets the power from the battery; the turbo from the exhaust. They both serve to boost the pressure of the air/fuel mixture.

Since no one mentioned… if you buy the Track Pace add on for $200, one of the metrics you can render in the HUD is boost pressure, among many others. You can also time 0-60/quarter mile and measure track times which was my motivation for the purchase.

You can buy track pace as a digital extra from the Mercedes site.
