My car is making strange noises when I step on the accelerator. Pretty sure its the muffler, perhaps theres a hole in it somehwere. Is it covered under the warranty? If not, how much would one be at the MB service dept?

I think if you didn't damage the muffler yourself which means you didn't hit something while driving, the dealer should be able to replace a new one for you for free. But it's just like you hit the wall and ask the dealer to repair the damage for you, they would never do that, but it's worth a try to go to the dealer and have them find out the problem for you.

If the problem is with the muffler and they wouldn't replace one for free, it's not worth the money to buy a new stock muffler, you're better off buying an aftermarket muffler for 700, 800 bucks.
