Body kit installation help (Carlsson)
What's up fellow CLK owners,
I just purchased the add on Carlsson kit for my 1999 CLK 320 and had a question in regards to the sideskirt installation. My kit is not the one that comes with the a new front and rear bumper. It's just a front lip, rear apron, and sideskirts. Very simple looking. The guy I bought the kit from didn't have the installation instructions. For any of you that own the 1999 CLK 320, the bottom portion of the car is black. I was wondering if the black rubber trim on the bottom of the door and body, needed to be removed before the sideskirts can be added on. I don't know if any of the trim can be left on, and the kit can be installed over it. I am unsure if the trim is needed to keep water out, and if it should be left alone. Please let me know.
