Can the front passenger side airbag be disabled so the poor fella doesn't have to be in the back seat? That means the wife has to sit in the back.

The xbox won't be getting too much mileage soon I guess.

Is that a full leather baby seat?

Mercedes out-did them selves again.

Yes full leather, but its from Evenflo.

Wonder if I can just remove the fuse for the airbag.

Just an FYI... It is proven that the safest place for your little guy is in the back seat. I know its a pain getting him back there, but I feel better knowing that MY little guy is safer. anyway, enough of my preachin'

Yes, I was looking at a couple of '00 CLK430s... for around $23,000...

Yes, I could probably afford it, but have this bad boy to pay for at the moment: http://www.xipi.net/~cklim/pics/album36 and at 10% deposit of the final price, that bites my bank account.

As far as I know, there is a way to turn it off...check your owner's manual. The "Baby Smart" seats from MB have a chip that turns off the airbag.

i believe in one of mercedes' commercials a while back featured a family in an E55 on a rainy day at night with two small children sleeping safely and soundly in the back seat while the father drove to wherever. don't you want to be the father that can let your children sleep safely and soundly??? :p

there is a MB seat that when pluged into the seatbelt will diable the airbag. It is about $800ish, I think. I have the same issue with my 6 month old in the back....it is tuff for my 6'2" 240 to get back in there to bolt her in!!!

Air bag disable

I thought the same. There is no way to disable the airbag without buying the official MB car seat for around $850.

The dealership in Vegas simply said, MB does not believe in putting kids in the front seat for safety reasons. Which I could not quite understand the logic as they do allow it if you pay them for their insanenly over priced car seat.
