How much is it worth... 2001 CLK430

Black Opal w/ Light Ash interior
37K miles
Excellent condition. (a few normal wear and tear minor scratches, and a scuff mark on the interior drivers side door are the only MINOR flaws..and I mean minor)
5 1/2 years 100K mile bumper to bumper warranty remaining.
Front Pilot sports practically new (guessing 90%)
Rear Pilot sports 50%
No Mods
Extra

Options includeeverything except for Voice recognition and NAV)
Sunroof
heated seats w/ memory(3)
Sunshade
AMG package
Disk changer in trunk
phone
probably more things I am missing...

Not sure what it is worth on the market, I know KBB is rather unrealistic for True market value. I am in Northern VA, outside of DC.

Given the year,COLOR,miles...

And the time of year, I say that car pulls $28-30k to the right private sale buyer. Black opel is not real common, but seems to be growing on me. I have a 2002 silver/black w/ the same options w/ gobs of tasteful mods and starmark warranty and im at $35900/bo. I also believe that complete new tires really helps convince that buyer to purchase. Plus, makes your car drive better/more quiet on the test drive. Good luck, Tree guy.
p.s. My quote is for a coupe.

check www.edmunds.com - their values seem to be A LOT more accurate and realistic than kbb

Edmunds True Market value is just under $30K, $29,853 to be exact. Funny thing is I look at the autotrader and cars.com and I see the same car/mileage/similar options ranging from $27K - $35K... That is why I asked, seems like a huge delta.

Theres alot to be said about...

condition here. Im asking all the money for my 2002 w/ 29k miles simply because its the nicest one in my city and two, there are not many of them around. If yours is cherry and you dont mind sitting on it for a while, price it as a cherry and wait for your buyer. My belief is that you price cars to sell fast. CLK's are cult cars and i find them harder to get rid of than say a e-class sedan. We are in a smaller window of buyer for our cars. I think its a good time to be getting out of the 208 as there values are not holding per year of driving as they used to. But in the end, a car as we know, is a complete waste of money but so fun to own at the same time?? . One trick is to put 4 sale signs in the windows while driving it and park it in noticable parking spots with your cherry price on it,you might get a bite . Good luck, TG
