Dash lights
I have a 98 CLK320. Recently I had a light on the dash go out, the right side light of the speedometer. Not that big of a deal cause the rest lights up but would still rather have it work. Can these lights be replaced? Is it hard to do and where can I find the lights? Thanks for any help and advise on how to do get instrument panel off to repair lights.

If you do a search for instrument cluster it will give good info already posted. I have the shift and temp windows failing, only some of the pixels work. I wish someone could learn to fix them. The lights themselves are easy to replace from the rear but you need some tools to pull the cluster. The mercedes tools are availible on Ebay or you can make some out of old hangers. Do a search for cluster removal.

i had this same problem on my 2001 clk cab but on the left hand side where there fuel gauge was i had this problem for about a month then when on the uk forum i posted the same question and the answer i got was thump the dash
now i know what you are thinking that this dude is strange 
but honestly i did that and since i did there has been no probs since doing this. give it a bash 
and let me know how you got on

I agree with Don V. When I was having some trouble with the lights on the cluster on a 2001 CLK430, I came down hard on the dash a couple of times and that fixed it! I haven't had a problem in about 3 years since then. Give the cluster a whack on top of the dashboard and see what happens? Kinda like "fixing" a TV that's on the fritz....
