CLK320 (2000) Rear Folding Seat Lever Problem

I have a 2000 CLK320 with a recurring rear folding seat lever problem. Three years ago, the lever in the trunk stopped working for the left rear seat. Basically, the lever has no resistance when pulled. It was fixed under warranty. The problem has returned now - anyone else have this problem?

Well, my right seat pull wire just snapped out of the plasitc lever. I tried pulling on the wire to open the seat and it won't even pull.

Anybody else have this prob and fix it?

my right one does that all the time, it's real annoying as i have to crawl in the trunk to place it back in it's spot properly. There is a little plastic screw type adjuster that you can fiddle with where the wire is connected. That usually helps temporarily

mine sometimes has no resistence at all... it all depends on how i close the back seats... if i slem is hard... it seems like something gets stuck and the next tiem i pull on the wire... i feel it unlock but the chairs can't fold down... what i usually do is reach in the push/punch the seats loose to fold down... OR... if i'm pissed i stick my feet in and kick it down... lol... hey it works... and it still locks in place...
