Man.. mercedes quality just never ceases to amaze me. So today, I head to lunch with a couple of my girls ... thinking I'll pimp my CLK. I pull the lever to move the seat up and let one of them hop in the back and the whole damn handle comes off and its in my hand! I'm like WTF?!?! Looking stupid, I push the lever back in and it clicks into place. Man, that was wack. Anyone else had this problem?

My driver side handle is also loose and it comes off very easily. Now I wonder if it's broken or just should snap back in. I am too afraid to go and find out how much it would be to fix it. CLK430Rob, did your just snap back in?

here's the deal... if the handle comes off once, it will come off many more times afterwards...

there is just a plastic hook that snaps in place... once the handle comes off once, the hook has probably gotten thinned out, so, chances are, it will come off many more times...

I just got mine replaced under warranty a few months back... just just plastic...

Well, use one of my 3 rules of life to fix it:

If it's loose and supposed to be stuck, duct tape it.

If it's stuck and supposed to be loose, WD-40 it.

If none if the above, **** it and move on.

p.s. And if a girl is the problem, just substitute the duct-tape and WD-40 for hand-cuffs and K-Y Jelly, respectively.

Yeah, I pushed it back in and it made a click noise into place. I am sure it will come out again. The only reason it came out is because the clip is probably worn out. If it comes out again, I'm going to pump some cement glue into the clip and push it back in. Let it settle and I'm sure that biatch aint coming out no more :P

i always move the chair myself... and not let other people do it cause they think it's the kind where u have to push is back to place or soemthing, and they don't no it's electric... so they either SLAM the seats back down, or push or pull on the seat har and like why isn't it moving...
